The Mecklenburg Math Club
was founded in 1990 by Dr. Harold Reiter. It was begun to provide enrichment
and challenges for students in the fourth, fifth, and sixth grades who have a
strong interest and ability in mathematics. The club meets once a month during
the months spanning September to May. At club meetings students participate in
the Math Olympiad for Elementary and Middle Schools. For the 2006-2007
