Thank you for bringing your students to our contest. The UNC Charlotte Mathematics Department is pleased to announce the results of the Algebra II and Comprehensive Mathematics Contests of Super Competition Day 2004. We had 199 comprehensive mathematics student participants from 18 schools and 86 algebra participants from 13 schools.

The Comprehensive contest had 30 multiple choice questions and the algebra test consisted of 26 multiple choice questions. The top comprehensive student was Anders Kaseorg, who has won the competition in each of the last four years, with Justin Lo from the Chapel Hill High in second. Book awards were presented to the students who qualified for the state mathematics contest runoffs (23 in all qualified). Qualifiers, please see http://courses.ncssm.edu/goebel/statecon/state.htm. Trophies went to the top five students in each category and to school winners in two categories: inside Mecklenburg County and outside Mecklenburg County, based on the sum of the top five students' scores. The top overall school was Providence Day School. Congratulations to them! The team results are listed below.
