Dear Students and Sponsors,
The UNC Charlotte Mathematics Department is pleased to announce the results of the Algebra II and Comprehensive Mathematics Contests of Super Competition Day 2005. We had 170 comprehensive mathematics student participants from 19 schools and 80 algebra participants from 13 schools. The students heard a great talk by Mark Ginn

Professor and Assistant Chair, Department of Mathematical Sciences, Appalachian
State University entitled Football and
Graph Theory.
The Comprehensive contest had 30 multiple choice questions and the algebra test consisted of 27 multiple choice questions. The top two comprehensive students were Yutong Chen and Kevin Lang, both from Myers Park High. Drew Boyuka, Jim Manning and Jenny Chen were third through fifth, respectively. The top algebra student was Haotian Liu of Providence High School.
