VEE Courses (Validation by Educational Experience)

Three topics are no longer tested on the Actuarial exams:  

  • Applied Statistical Methods

  • Corporate Finance     

  • Economics

 

These three topics are still required to become an associate or a fellow of the society of actuary. You can get VEE credits on these topics by taking the following courses at UNC Charlotte and passing them with a grade of   B or better:

 

VEE credit for Applied Statistical Methods

  • STAT 3110   Applied Regression     and       STAT 3150   Time Series Analysis

        or

  • ECON 3112  Econometrics

 

VEE credit for Economics        

  • ECON 2101/2102   Principles of Economics (macro/micro)    

 

VEE credit for Corporate Finance

  • FINN 3120   Financial Management      

 

Students who passed at least two actuarial examinations with the SOA or CAS may submit an  Application for VEE Credits.
